After that warm-up, the Sensei announced we were going to do some Chi Sao.
Chi Sao, is often translated into English as “Sticking Hands” or “Sticky Hands”.
Started up with black belt and progressively teamed up with orange and white belts. I tried doing chi sao with my eyes closed and I probably blocked at least 80% of the blows. The secret is to follow their hand with yours so you can get a sense on what angle their and is travelling.
One green belt wanted to strike me as soon as our hands touched (before we even started to circle our hands) so I bopped her on the chest a couple of times to show that if you want to step up the pace, we can go as fast as you want.

Tonight’s adult karate class in Highlands Ranch Colorado had 16 people in it which is a full house for us. After warmups, the class formed groups of five people. One person in the middle and the other four stand in the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. You are to half moon in the direction of the person and then land a solid front ball kick to their solar plexis. It was abit confusing at first but once doing it, it felt pretty easy.
Then we paired up to do some other drills and then onto a 2 point sparring bout. I won 2-1
